The LSV Retreat

Now past the initial hurdle of awkward silences and timidity that often comes at first meetings, LSV participants have the opportunity to grow and build relationships, develop teamwork, and to identify skill sets in themselves which they hope to enhance throughout the program year in a retreat setting. Held annually at a retreat center or local camp, the experiential leadership component of the course kicks off at the retreat in arguably the most important large group setting of the program year. Held over two days, this overnight experience highlights the treasures of the Susquehanna Valley, serves as a bonding experience, and serves as an in-depth look at the leadership component which reaches across all program days. This year’s retreat will highlight high-performing teams, styles of leadership, and an introduction to each team’s community service project. The 2018 retreat will take place at Millville’s Camp Victory.

Leadership Susquehanna Valley(LSV) is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides leadership programs and initiatives to educate and motivate a diverse group of citizens for effective community and organizational leadership. Established in 1994 by representatives of 11 organizations in Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties, LSV has graduated more than 700 class members who have gone on to serve on boards, committees and task forces throughout the Valley.

Graduates of LSV are energized to help serve the needs of the Greater Susquehanna Valley’s rural areas, small boroughs and cities. By serving in leadership positions on nonprofit boards and volunteering their time and talents in other ways, LSV graduates make a positive difference in our communities. Through LSV, they study ways to manage and resolve conflict, and learn about the responsibilities of serving on a community board.
